CG #013: Automating Online Research

One of my favorite automation tools

Hello 👋🏾,

Welcome to another edition of the Chase Growth Newsletter!

Each Saturday I send out one email sharing my thoughts and findings around:

  • Personal Development

  • Online Automation

  • Content Creation

Today's edition will take about 2 minutes to read.

Let's dive into it.

Automating Online Research

The word “Automation” used to scare me.

It scared me so much that it was the sole cause of the failure of my first pursuit.

I get it, who has time to learn automation tools right?

Most times we don’t even know what tasks to automate.

After conquering my fears, I dove into automation at the beginning of this year.

Many people started to express interest in the content I shared.

However, I then encountered imposter syndrome.

Who am I to talk about automation?

Well, I know that I am comfortable learning and sharing as I go.

On that note, I posted a video dissecting one of my favorite tools, Bardeen.

A Mindset Shift I Have Encountered Recently

We are constantly bombarded with information.

External influences help mold our core beliefs.

Recently I have challenged myself to question my deepest beliefs.

By altering these two beliefs I have been able to find more peace in my pursuits.

  1. Consistency > Intensity

I used to be a productivity and optimization junkie.

Always chopping and changing,

Constantly trying to find ways to do “more”.

Doing more is important!

For people early in their journey I still believe it is the best practice.

However, as your start to find your feet, direction is more important than speed.

Recently I have found myself trimming my pursuits.

All of this is in an attempt to hone my focus.

Knowing what you need to do is half the journey.

Producing consistently is the unsexy work we hate that gets results.

This leads to my second point.

  1.  Achieve by ALL means necessary

This is not to be mistaken with “do everything”.

It should be viewed as a holistic approach to achievement.

I have “prioritized” health or relationships only to see my projects fall behind.

Or I spent too much time working and not taking care of myself.

It is only recently that I truly feel how they are all interlinked.

Consistently staying on top of the moving pieces creates confidence!

But also identifying the things that you need to AVOID doing. Stop them!

Overall, allow the compound effect to work in your favor.

Chase Growth Twitter Space Summary

Topic: The AI Storm - Thriving In A World Of Information Overload

Key takeaways:

  1. AI hype will inevitably go through a crash and a few companies focused on solving real, big problems will emerge.

  2. Like all other technologies, AI has the potential to be very dangerous. One potential use case could be AI autonomous fighter drones that do not disengage once they are told a target to attack. Finding ways to curb these threats is very important for protecting humanity.

  3. AI has the ability to fix one of the biggest problems humans have, clear, effective, communication.

p.s. Every Tuesday we host a Twitter space where the members of this community talk about trending topics and share value from their journeys. I would love to see you there next Tuesday.
