5 Tech Tools Worth Paying For

Last month I got a message from my bank

Not the type of message you look forward to

But also not the type of message that makes you angry

They announced they were changing their cards

It is a part of a bigger merger going on

As a result, all of my existing cards would be canceled

The good part:

They would give me a virtual card to use right away

The not-so-good part:

I would have to move all my subscriptions to a new card

More busy work that I do not need right now

However, in keeping with my quote for the month…

“It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see”

I decided to use this as an opportunity

I would cut back on any subscriptions I was underutilizing

As well as take on some new ones that could give me more value

After rearranging my tech stack, here are the 5 products I can’t live without

1. Manychat

Manychat is an automated chatbot system

You can set it up to give replies to specific keywords

This is critical when it comes to Instagram marketing

Instagram hates it when you put links in stories

Reliably over the past years, when I do this, I see a drop in reach

My reach after promoting links in stories/

It makes sense, they want you to buy ads

But one way around this is to have people DM you

Instagram loves seeing engagement and they reward it

Instead of posting links in story, I ask people to comment a word

Then I build an automation with Manychat to deliver links

Better customer experience + no punishment from Instagram

Not to mention the hours saved replying to DM’s

Every time I move away from this tool, I end up coming back

Highly recommend you look into it’s use cases

Onward

2. Beehiiv

Beehiiv is the product I use to send you these emails

It is a hub for building online newsletters

It is built with the tech-savvy in mind

Primed for automation and custom coding

I love it so much, I recently migrated my Footytutor newsletter to the tool

Every online marketer knows the importance of a newsletter

Anyone who has used email tools can see how useful Beehiiv is

In the end, it's the user experience for me

3. Chat GPT

This week I was speaking to one of my childhood friends

He was explaining how he was using GPT in his job

Basically, for him, it is a research assistant

Using GPT is as simple as it is amazing

Whatever field you work in, this tool can help you improve

You can even ask it how you can improve

For me, the paid version is one of the best AI tools on the market

I have mentioned multiple use cases in my content

I’m sure you are not surprised to see it on my list

If you haven’t tested it, I highly recommend

4. Adobe Suite

With Black Friday 2023 will be 6 years since I started using this tool

Yep, 6 years of creating with Adobe

On Black Friday 2017, I made a decision I will always be proud of

Getting the creative suite on a special

At the time I had the college + BF discount

I was accessing the suite for around $20 per month

Way less than the $60 I part ways with now each month

Oh, how I miss student discounts…

Yet, worth every cent

It has become foundational to my creative flow

Not a week goes by that I do not use an Adobe product

If you are creative, this could be a play for you this Black Friday

You won’t regret it, I promise

5. G Suite

Last but possibly most important, G suite

This collection of products by Google

They are free, but I pay for the business manager

If you run an online business, Google is a dream

Excellent user experience

Continuous updates to products

Seamless integration across products

The list goes on

The best decision I made was to build with Google

Products so good that you never need to contact support

Special mention: Midjourney

To be 100% honest, this is currently a toy

A toy I pay $8 per month for

I love playing around with prompts to see what the AI produces

I have written about this tool before

As a beginner to AI tools, you can learn a lot by prompting this software

Prompting is a skill that I think will be important in the future

So I practice with this model and produce some epic pictures while I am at it

I will leave a few of my creations below and you can tell me what you think

TL;DR
