Today's edition be a 3-minute read.

Let's go.

The Right, The Wrong, and The Painful Lesson

The last two weeks have been busy

In my industry q4 is extremely important

For some Ecom brands, it accounts for 50% of revenue

As a media buyer, this means pressure to deliver

To stand out in the noise and make sales

It has been very intense so far

As you can imagine, I don’t have much time to write this letter

As I sit here I can’t help but think about my long to-do list

So in the interest of my sanity, let’s do something different

Today I will share 3 general experiences I think you can learn from

One thing I did right

One thing I did wrong

And one thing I would never do again

One thing I did right:

Started writing on X

Building a writing habit has been great for me

It has helped with:

• Clarity of thought

• Confidence in sharing

• Engaging with others online

I believe there is value in “building in public”

It’s easy to see the difference in my writing since I started

Most importantly, being consistent in one thing has helped me to be consistent in many other aspects of life.

One thing I did wrong:

Not getting a credit card in college

I have only recently understood the benefits of credit

The ability to leverage other people's money (OPM)

Credit is all based on history

It answers the questions:

How have you been with money?

Can you be trusted with money?

Why should we give you money?

Based on your actions

By getting credit early you start to build trust with banks

This trust is transferrable and pivotal for accessing

Starting in college is a way to get a foot in the door

There are college-specific cards to help you out

Also, you can start building good money habits from a young age

There are many advantages to getting credit from young

Once you are disciplined and can pay it off

I won't dig too deep into this letter about this

Let me know if I should talk more about this in the future.

One thing I would never do again

Create video content daily

I did this before and it led to one thing

Burn out

Creating is fun, but just like eating sugar, it needs to be done sustainably

Instead of creating daily, I chunk my creation

A different day for:

• Ideation

• Creation

• Editing

• Scheduling

By chunking the tasks, it only feels like you do them once per week

When it is time to do them you are excited instead of exhausted

A little flow I am using to keep myself engaged and inspired

Some interesting finds from last week:

That’s it for this edition of the Chase Growth newsletter.

To anyone launching BFCM campaigns, good luck!

Until next time, take care.
